The largest streaming media platform Netflix has stated that it will increase African content in the streaming app.
Netflix also added that some of these contents by Africans has proven to be a great success within and outside the continent.
A Nigerian named Ben Amadasun, is in charge of the Africa original content and acquisitions for the American platform, when he visited Paris he made mention of supporting producers so they can keep producing quality content.
That effort is being made to actively support the industries with training schemes.
As it stands now according to statistics, Netflix will reach a peak of 2.61 million subscribers by the end of this year and about over 5 million subscribers by the year 2026.
